BACKGROUND AND WORKSHOP OBJECTIVES

SEFM 2012 invites prospective workshop organizers to submit their ideas for workshops by 20th of February the latest. Workshops should be targeted to research work on the areas of Software Engineering and/or Formal Methods (for a list of topics of interest you may visit the conference website). Prospective workshop organizers are requested to follow the guidelines below and are encouraged to contact the workshop chairs if any questions arise.


WORKSHOP PROPOSAL SUBMISSION GUIDELINES

Workshop proposals should be submitted via email to the workshop chairs, no later than 20th of February 2012.

Proposals should include at minimum the following information, in addition to anything else the organizers may think of relevance to their proposal:

  • The title and the theme of the workshop
  • A workshop description (200 to 500 words) to be published on the conference website
  • The targeted audience and the expected number of participants
  • The suggested important dates (submission/notification deadlines) along with a preliminary call for papers and a publicity strategy
  • The reviewing process. Each workshop is responsible for forming an adequate Programme Committee, forming and distributing a Call for Papers, esthablishing the reviewing guidelines and acceptance criteria, and supervising the reviewing process (ensuring reviewers are registered to the system, each paper is assigned to at least two reviewers, resolving conflicts etc.)
  • The publication plan. The workshop organizers are responsible for deciding whether the accepted papers will be published or not and if so, in what format and where.

SEFM 2012 will provide registration and organizational support for the workshops. Registration fees must be paid for all participants, including organizers and invited guests. The minimum participation fee will be set by SEFM 2012 in order to cover organizational expenses. The fee could be then increased, at the discretion of the organizers, to cover additional workshop expenses such as invited talks.

For every 6 participants a complimentary registration will be awarded for use by the organizers, as they seem fit.

The workshops are going to take place mainly on Tuesday 2/10/2012.
